- Human remains found in Plymouth, CA are likely those of Alexis Gabe who has been missing out of Oakley since January.
- The Contra Costa County DA has reached a settlement agreement with Chevron on the diesel water mix spill in 2021.
- Danville Town Offices are relocating (pretty much right next door)!

Here are the top stories today in Concord:
- Early voting sites opened in Contra Costa on November 4. These sites will also serve as voting sites on election day. The site closest to Concord is at the Walnut Creek City Hall, 1666 North Main St., Walnut Creek. Drive-thru drop off will also be available on election day at the Clerk-Recorder-Elections Offices. - Time to burn off those calories before you eat them on Thanksgiving Day! The Concord Turkey Trot is back, benefiting Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa. Strollers and pets are welcome. Register first (the race is limited to 1,000 participants) and then just follow the gobbles to Newhall Park on Thanksgiving morning at 8:00 a.m. (Pioneer Publishers)
- Firefighters responded to the 1000 block of Stone Valley Road in Alamo with reports of an explosion coming from one of the bedrooms of a home there. As a result of the explosion, Stone Valley Road was closed for several hours. HazMat was also called in. The investigation into the incident is ongoing and there were no immediate reports of injuries. (News 24/680)
- Human remains that were found in Plymouth, CA, about 40 miles east of Sacramento, are believed to be those of Alexis Gabe, an Oakley woman who went missing in January. The remains were reported to be just the torso of the victim. Police believe other body parts may be scattered in other locations. Gabe's former boyfriend is suspected of her murder. He was killed on June 1 "by members of the Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force as they attempted to arrest him in Washington state." (News 24/680)
- A settlement has been reached with Chevron regarding the diesel water mixture spill into the bay from their Richmond facility that happened on February 9, 2021. Contra Costa DA Diana Becton, along with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife came to the agreement which "includes injunctive relief, civil penalties for wildlife funds, and enforcement costs." Provisions include "a more comprehensive pipeline inspection program, the piloting of a leak detection system, a detailed review of existing systems, and improved training of staff. - "The main Danville Town Offices will relocate from 510 La Gonda Way to 500 La Gonda Way November 15. Due to the proximity of the new building, the town offices will only be closed November 14 to accommodate relocating town staff." (News 24/680)
