Concord BART Station Incidents Lead To 2 Arrests

BREAKING: Both arrests were made Friday evening, according to BART police.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- BART police were kept busy on the system's Pittsburg/Bay Point line late last week. Police first responded to an attempted bicycle burglary at the Concord station Friday evening at 6:40 p.m. The suspect didn't manage to steal the bike, but then boarded a train toward Pittsburg. It was there that police met the man, who they found to be in possession of bolt cutters and several knives.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of possessing burglary tools and for violating his probation, police said.

A little more than an hour later, BART police responded to the North Concord station for a report of a man stalking a woman.
