Concord Man Accused Of Causing Rollover Crash In Domestic Dispute
The sheriff's office is seeking witnesses of the crash that left a woman in critical condition.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office is asking any witnesses of a rollover crash early last Tuesday in the area of Kirker Pass Road and Hess Road near Concord to come forward.
The crash was reported at 3:24 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, and when the California Highway Patrol's initial investigation indicated the crash was domestic-related, the sheriff's office responded and assumed the investigation.
The crash involved a man and a woman who were previously involved in a relationship, according to sheriff's Spokesman Jimmy Lee.

The woman and two other people were in a tan-colored 2004 Chevy Tahoe when sheriff's investigators believe the man, who had been following her in a white 2015 Mercedes Benz, pulled in front of her — causing her to lose control and flip over an embankment, Lee said.
The driver of the Tahoe suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she was said to be in critical condition.

Another person in the Tahoe was treated for injuries and has been released from the hospital, while the third person did not suffer injuries.
The driver of the Mercedes, identified by the sheriff's office as 28-year-old Alejandro Arriaga of Concord, was later booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one felony count of child cruelty, Lee said.
Arriaga's bail was set at $190,000.
