Concord Shooting on Saturday Leaves Man, 27, in Critical Condition

The victim was with a group of friends walking along Meadow Lane when shot at 1:40 a.m., police said.

A 27-year-old man shot in Concord early this morning is in critical condition, police said. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Meadow Lane and Lodge Drive at about 1:40 a.m., police said.

The victim was with a group of friends that left a business and were walking along Meadow Lane where they were approached by a car, according to police.

Someone in the car fired shots and at least one bullet struck the victim, police said. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and was not found this morning, according to police.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.
