Concord Woman Suspect In Fatal DUI Hit-And-Run Of Pleasant Hill Bicyclist

First responders found a bicyclist, a 41-year-old woman, with critical injuries.

CONCORD, CA — Police in Pleasant Hill on Saturday arrested a woman suspected in a fatal hit-and-run.

Early Saturday morning just before 2 a.m., officers responded to a collision between a bicyclist and a vehicle at the intersection of Contra Costa and Taylor boulevards.

First responders found a bicyclist, a 41-year-old woman, with critical injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police allege that the driver of the vehicle that struck the woman fled the area before officers arrived.

Investigators eventually identified the suspected vehicle as a dark-colored Mazda SUV, which was discovered parked and unoccupied several blocks away in Concord.

Police allege the Mazda had damage consistent with the collision.

Arrested was the vehicle's registered owner and Concord resident Angelina Solis, 45, on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

This collision remains under active investigation.
