Contra Costa Co. Girl, 16, Reported Missing; Public's Help Sought

BREAKING: The teen, a student at Antioch High School, was last seen Thursday, Nov. 9, according to her family.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A 16-year-old Antioch girl has been missing since last week and her family and friends are seeking the public's help to locate her. The missing teen is Maleah "Leah" Meyer, according to information forwarded to Patch. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 at her residence in the Antioch/Pittsburg area. Maleah, a junior at Antioch High School, never made it to school that morning.

According to a flier, anyone with information about Maleah's whereabouts should call the Antioch Police Department; Daryle Allums at 510-913-4082; or Maleah's mother at 925-895-3705.

Maleah remained missing Monday afternoon, Allums told Patch on behalf of her family.

Antioch police Sgt. Dee also confirmed Monday that the search was still on for Maleah. Dee said she is considered a missing runaway.
