Mostly Broadway: Wicked Star David Burnham Returns to Willows Theatre

The Willows Theatre in conjunction with Esses Productions will present Broadway star David Burnham in concert for two shows:

Saturday, January 21 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Willows Theatre - 1975 Diamond Boulevard, Concord.  

David Burnham created the role of Fiyero in the original Los Angeles workshop production of the Tony Award-nominated musical Wicked, and went on to perform the role on Broadway. A member of the original Broadway cast of the 6-time Tony Award winning musical The Light in the Piazza, he subsequently won the prestigious Helen Hayes Award and Garland Award as Best Actor for his portrayal of Fabrizio Nacarelli in the National Tour.

In his one-man show at The Willows, Burnham performs a mixture of songs from many of his celebrated roles, as well as some favorite Broadway standards, plus selections from his newest CD recording, One Day.

Burnham first gained critical acclaim when he was chosen to replace Donny Osmond in the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat  (Dramalogue Award), after touring the country as Peter in the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.

On film, David is the voice of The Prince in the Warner Bros. animated feature film version of The King and I, and can also be heard as Willy in Disney's Home on the Range.
