- Finally, you can get your questions answered about disaster relief after the recent storms, in person! Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is opening a disaster relief center in Danville. The facility is staffed starting today, at 510 La Gonda Way, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. (Contra Costa News)
- The police presence on the streets on Super Bowl Sunday was increased from the usual level and resulted in a few arrests, including one for DUI in Pittsburg, as well as one lunatic doing 112 miles per hour! The operation was part of a "saturation patrol." (Claycord.com)
- If you bought a lottery ticket at the Circle K on Alberta Way at Ygnacio Valley Road, check your lottery ticket! One lucky person who bought their ticket at that market won $93,747 in the Fantasy 5 game on Saturday, and has yet to claim the prize. (Claycord.com)
- How many robbers does it take to hold up a cannabis store? Apparently, more than 10! Ten armed robbers attempted to rob the STIIIZY cannabis shop in Pacheco, but they were unsuccessful in their attempt. "It was not immediately known what deterred the robbery crew, who were reportedly similarly dressed in black clothing and masks." No injuries were reported. (New 24/680)
