As of Friday, more than 50 people were signed up to participate in the rally — and the attendee numbers continue to grow daily as more hear about it, an organizer said in an email to Patch.
Concord resident Jennifer Carver is among those planning to take part in the demonstration.

"Yes, there is a virus that is killing people – but the media and the politicians have blown this to a whole new level," Carver said. "This is a huge political ploy as far as I’m concerned and many of the deaths being reported are not due to covid – but having covid as the underline cause is a huge financial gain for some institutions.. which has now caused a society divided."
The group's message is that coronavirus vaccines should not be mandated but a choice people are allowed to make on their own.
According to the California Freedom of Choice website:
"We are Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Children, and most of all humans that have been feeling the heartbreak of this pandemic and all of the nonsense it has created for the American people across the world! We want to help and do something about it! We can’t sit back and just watch any longer! We have passion for doing what is right and believe there is strength in numbers. We have zero doubt that if we come together and unite then we can make a difference! We are sick and tired of the judgements and divide that the Government is creating across the world and specifically in the United States. We will be joining with volunteers to create powerful peaceful events and let our voices be heard. We will also share freedom of choice places of business that need support to keep their businesses open. The small businesses have been hit hard from all of the nonsense. We strive to help! Let's bring people together again!"
