  1. If you're looking for someplace to take your sweetheart to eat on Valentine's Day, Patch has you covered! Check out our list of great places to eat that are open for Valentine's Day throughout the Bay Area and beyond! (Patch)
  2. Concord Mayor Laura Hoffmeister delivered the State of the City address on Wednesday at the Concord Hilton. If you missed it, you can check out a replay at this link from claycord.com.
  3. Schools in Contra Costa are looking for help! If you're interested in working in education in Contra Costa, come out for the job fair on February 25 at Alhambra High School in Martinez. "Representatives from 25 school districts, charter schools, and colleges will be in attendance, conducting on-the-spot interviews for positions available in the current school year and the 2023-2024 academic year." Lots of different positions are open. If you're interested in attending, you can fill out an interest form. (Pioneer Publishers)
  4. Two suspects were arrested in Antioch in relation to a robbery that happened in Pleasanton on Monday. The car that the suspects allegedly used for the robbery was tracked to Antioch and the suspects were subsequently arrested. Names and ages of the perpetrators was not released. (Contra Costa News)
  5. Moraga received a grant that will fund upgrades to the disc golf course at Moraga Commons Park. The total amount of the grant was $15,000, which was received in December. "Some of the site improvements will include updated tee pads, signage, benches, and trees." (lamorindaweekly.com)

  • If you or someone you know needs a new bank account, Pacific Service Credit Union will donate $25 to the Mt. Diablo Education Foundation for each account opened before February 28. The foundation is working to raise $5,000 for STEAM programs for its students. (Pioneer Publishers)
  • "The Wright Social Spot welcomes our first event of 2023 with The Best Indoor Pre-Valentines Dinner & February Birthday's Event of the Year with Live Music Performances & 4-Course Dinner."
  • Antioch has a Small Businesses Grant program and a Facade Upgrades program. "Eligible Antioch small businesses can receive a grant payment of up to $15,000, and facade upgrade reimbursement of up to $25,000 through the City of Antioch Small Business Programs." (Antioch on the Move)
