Foreclosed Homes: How Many And Where They Are In Concord And Clayton

Realty Trac releases latest information on number of foreclosures and what they're selling for.

Concord has 533 homes still in some stage of foreclosure, according to information released today by Realty Trac. 

In Clayton, there are 40 homes in the foreclosure process.

The median price for a foreclosure home in Concord in March was 260,000, up 5 percent from the previous month. That compares with a median price of $300,000 for all homes sold in the city.

In Clayton, the median sale price on foreclosures was $441,000, down 3 percent from the previous month. The median sale price of all homes was $582,500.

Overall, homes appear to be getting cleared from the market. Between August 1 and March 31, there were 1,352 homes sold in Concord. Right now, 23 are for sale, according to Realty Trac.

In Clayton, 153 homes have been sold since August. Five are now for sale.

Sales of foreclosed homes in Concord were up 43 percent from the previous month and also up 22 percent from March 2012.

In Clayton, foreclosure home sales were up 70 percent from the previous month and 143 percent from a year ago.

Overall, the number of properties receiving foreclosure filings in Concord were 5 percent lower than the previous month and 63 percent lower than a year ago.

In Clayton, properties receiving foreclosure filings rose 100 percent from the previous month and 200 percent from March 2012.

The Realty Trac website also includes information on foreclosed homes in every county and city in the country.

Realty Trac reported foreclosures across the country were down 5 percent in April from the previous month. Foreclosures also decreased 23 percent from April 2012. Total foreclosure activity in April was at its lowest level since February 2007.
