The city of Concord is losing the fight against an invading army of Cimex Lectularius. Also known as "Bedbugs" these tiny insects have made an aggressive and successful forlorn hope move that secured them lodgement in the Western edge, and now they are poised for a frontal attack on the unsuspecting residents of this city.
So far the response from the authorities has been insuficient and in this bloggers opinion they see this issue as "not worthy of importance".
Perhaps there is an unwillingness to admit that Concord is now the epicenter of what could become an explosion of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Also known as Drug resistant bacteria.
Bedbugs carrying MRSA (drug resistant bacteria) may have the potential to act as vectors for transmission.
The centers for disease control and prevention Emerging Infectious Diseases journal warns that "Bedbug carriage of MRSA, and the portal of entry provided through feeding, suggests a plausible
potential mechanism for passive transmission of bacteria during a blood meal."

Concordians are not waiting for the city to act, and have now organized an Action Group that is actively recruiting affected residents to fight back.
