Major Injuries To Two Women In DUI Crash: Contra Costa County Authorities

Emergency crews provided immediate lifesaving measures before transporting two women to area hospitals with serious injuries.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — An early morning crash left a 17-year-old driver and her 21-year-old passenger with major injuries trapped inside the vehicle.

Antioch police and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District were both dispatched at 1:16 a.m. to the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Dallas Ranch Road.

There, they found the women trapped in the vehicle. Crews extracted the women and gave them first aid. The women were taken to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.

The driver, 17, and her passenger, 21, remain hospitalized. Authorities have not released their names or other details.

The Antioch Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the crash and said alcohol may have played a role.
