Man Breaks Into City Hall, Steals Suit: Concord Police

When arrested, the burglar was well-dressed in a suit taken during his sojourn of City Hall, police said of the unusual incident.

CONCORD, CA — Concord police made an arrest in an unusual incident last week at City Hall. According to the Concord Police Department, officers responded at 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 24 to a call that the burglar alarm at City Hall, 1950 Parkside Drive, had been activated.

Officers confirmed a break-in had just occurred at City Hall. In a search of the area, the suspected burglar was found near the Library — well-dressed in a suit, police said.

As officers tried to detain the burglar, later identified as Jesse Marron, he assaulted several police personnel, Concord police officials said.

According to police, images of Marron breaking into the building were captured on the city's surveillance system.

Further, the suit he was wearing was taken during his sojourn of City Hall, police said.

"The suit belongs to a city employee and was stolen from their office during the burglary," Concord police Cpl. Summer Galer told Patch.

Galer added that the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office proceeded to file several charges against Marron: burglary, possession of stolen property, obstructing an officer in the performance of their duties and possession of drug paraphernalia.

"Motive is unknown," Galer said of the incident.
