Man Hit, Killed By Vehicle Near Concord Pavilion
BREAKING: The accident was this morning.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle near the Concord Pavilion early this morning, a police spokesman said.
The collision was reported around 2:30 a.m. near the concert venue at 2000 Kirker Pass Road, Concord police Cpl. Christopher Blakely said.
The pedestrian, whose name has not yet been released by the Contra Costa County coroner's office, was hit in an eastbound lane of Kirker Pass Road, Blakely said.

The driver stayed at the scene of the collision and cooperated with investigators.
Kirker Pass Road was closed for a few hours following the collision but has since reopened, according to Blakely.
