  • A fatal vehicle-vs.-pedestrian collision happened on Marsh Drive on Wednesday.
  • San Ramon Valley fire crews rescued a man near the summit of Mt. Diablo.
  • A Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Delta Conveyance Project is out for public review.

  1. The City of Martinez held a Town Hall meeting on Monday night regarding recent events at the Martinez Refinery, along with related reports from Contra Costa Health (CCH) and the Air District.   2. A vehicle-vs.-pedestrian collision on Marsh Drive at Mobile Drive in Pacheco resulted in the death of one individual. The fire department reported to the police that it was a possible hit and run. The roadway was shut down for a time on Wednesday due to the accident. (Claycord.com)
  3. San Ramon Valley fire crews were summoned to the peak of Mt. Diablo late Wednesday night when a driver phoned to tell them that "Satan had instructed him to stab himself and drive off the roadway." Crews were challenged by the late hour and the terrain, but they were able to rescue the driver, who had sustained injuries. (News 24/680)
  4. Opportunity Junction alumni have earned a collective $100 million since graduation! "We are incredibly proud of the hard work our alumni have put in to make their families and our community stronger and more prosperous," said Alissa Friedman, president and CEO.
