MEGA Kids Consignment Sale - April 10-11

Contra Costa Parents of Multiples (CCPOM), the Contra Costa’s largest group for parents of twins, triplets and higher order multiples, has announced that it will be holding its annual children’s consignment sale in Concord on April 10-11, 2015.

The inventory for the sale typically totals over 12,000 items, and features gently-used baby and kids clothes, toys and equipment, including strollers, high chairs, swings and toys. “There are usually over 200 gently-used toys alone, all at rock-bottom prices,” says CCPOM Co-President Anne Swanson. In addition, the club sorts thousands of clothes into racks by gender and size, up to children’s size 10-12, to make the shopping experience identical to a clothing store.

The event also features a central computerized check out process, complete with price tag scanners, manned by club volunteers, who make the check out process fast and easy. The club will accept cash, check and credit card payments.

New to the sale this year is an exclusive pre-sale shopping event known as the “Power Hour,” the night before the sale opens to the general public. The Power Hour will take place on Friday April 10, 2015 from 8 pm to 9 pm. Admission to the Power Hour will be $5 and is open to the general public. “This is a popular event, so we think the demand for the Power Hour will be high,” says sale manager Candice Ferris.

The general sale will begin the following morning at 7:30 am, with an admission fee of $1. The sale will also feature a $5 “fill a bag” sale following the general sale; the “Fill a bag sale” will be from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday April 11, 2015.

The sale will take place in the gymnasium of St. Francis of Assisi School, located at 866 Oak Grove Road, Concord, CA 94518.
