Mercedes-Benz Driver Sought In Concord Hit-And-Run: Police

The Mercedes hit a Ford sedan, causing the Ford to hit a curb and roll onto its roof, injuring the driver, police said.

CONCORD, CA — Concord police are seeking the driver of a Mercedes-Benz sedan in connection with a hit-and-run collision Friday that injured a driver.

The crash happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. when the Mercedes driver exited an apartment complex at 1441 Detroit Ave. and collided with a Ford sedan, police said in a news release.

This caused the Ford, which was traveling southbound on Detroit Avenue at the time of impact, to hit a curb and roll onto its roof.

Police said the Mercedes continued onto a nearby street and the driver fled the scene.

The Ford driver suffered a minor injury and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The collision remained under investigation Friday; police asked any witnesses to call Traffic Officer Nanthasiri at 925-671-5096.
