- Two thousand PG&E customers were in the dark on Sunday.
- A dramatic water rescue in Bay Point ended with the victim safely on shore.

Here are the top stories in Concord today:
- The body of missing 19-year-old Damond Lazenby Jr. was found along the side of Highway 4 on Saturday afternoon, Concord police and the victim's family confirmed. The victim's father says that stretch of the road was searched several times in the days since Lazenby Jr. was reported missing. Police confirmed that they, too, searched that stretch of the roadway. A motorist saw the body around 2:00 p.m. and called 911. The senior Mr. Lazenby believes the body may have been dumped there between noon and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and is asking for witnesses to come forward. (CBS News)
- About 2,000 PG&E customers along Concord Boulevard between Kirker Pass and Clayton Way in Concord were without power Sunday morning. The winds were wicked! And power lines were no match for the trees that got knocked against them. (Claycord.com)
- A man was rescued by ConFire with the help of the U.S. Coast Guard in Bay Point on Saturday. The man was pulled from the water by helicopter about 2:00 p.m. After he was safely ashore, he was evaluated by paramedics. His current condition is unknown. (Claycord.com)
- Contra Costa County High School Mock Trial is scheduled for the end of January, and organizers are looking for professionals to volunteer. "In prior years, nearly eighty practicing and retired attorneys, judges, law students, and pre-law students volunteered with Mock Trials," according to The Pioneer. - East Bay Parks Trails Challenge is underway! But before you head out to hike any of the trails, make sure you're aware of coming storm activity and safety measures. The Pioneer has some safety tips for when you visit the parks this winter, and information on the Trails Challenge, if you think you're up for it!
