Mother and Daughter Found Shot to Death in Pleasanton Home

Pleasanton Patch reported from outside a Pleasanton home and crime scene where police said a mother and daughter were found shot to death.

Officers arrived at the Stacey Drive home around 6 p.m. and found 37-year-old Amy Freeman Burton dead from a gunshot wound, Police Lt. Jeff Bretzing said at a press briefing at the scene around 11:45 p.m. Monday night.

Her daughter, Ainsly Freeman, had also been shot but was alive. She was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley where she later died, Bretzing said.
