Motorist Dies In Crash On Kirker Pass Road
BREAKING: The 63-year-old's vehicle broke down along the roadway and was struck by another car, police said.
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA – A 63-year-old man died in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening in Concord near the Concord Pavilion, police said today.
Officers responded at 6:56 p.m. to the 2000 block of Kirker Pass Road where they found the crash and a man who was not responsive.
A preliminary investigation showed that the victim's vehicle broke down in the road. While the victim was sitting in his vehicle another vehicle struck his, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. Police are not yet releasing the name of the man who died.

Police said the investigation is continuing and anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Concord police traffic investigator Lawrence at (925) 671-5097.
