My 'Little' Garden: Concord Photos Of The Week
Patch loves photos! Share your photos with your local Patch, and your work could be featured.
CONCORD, CA — Patch reader and Concord resident Wayne Sarchett sent in photos of his backyard garden, where this year he decided to experiment. The garden was planted last fall with rows of lettuce, beets and Swiss chard, along with a large section of peas, Wayne said in an email to Patch.
"See my little garden in my backyard," he said. "The California wildflower assortment was planted in between the rows as an experiment. They gradually took over and I have to thin them for the vegetables to get sunlight. This is a bee, butterfly and hummingbird friendly yard. Sadly there aren't many bees or butterflies this year. Enjoy."
Thanks so much for sharing, Wayne. Such a lovely garden! If we were bees or butterflies, we'd buzz right over. (Maybe your next photo submission can be a hummingbird, hint hint.)
