Paw-rade, Costumes, Furry Friend Adoptions Return To Downtown Walnut Creek

The 26th annual event brings live music, adoptable animals, a Paw-rade, and costume contest downtown.

WALNUT CREEK, CA —Walnut Creek will go to the dogs Sunday to make way for costumed pets, adoptable animals, music, and more than 40 booths during the annual Joybound Around Town on Broadway.

More than 40 pet-focused booths will take over downtown Walnut Creek when Joybound Around Town on Broadway returns for its 26th year on Sept. 13.

The event, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes music and entertainment.

Families, friends, and furry companions can join the Paw-rade Walk, explore the Pet Wellness Festival, cheer on costume contest participants, and meet adoptable animals.

Joybound People & Pets said hundreds of thousands of people have attended the event over the years to celebrate the bond between people and their pets.
