Pedestrian Fatally Struck, Closing Railroad Avenue In Pittsburg
BREAKING: Southbound Railroad Avenue was closed for several hours Wednesday morning while police investigated the collision.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday morning
in Pittsburg, police said. The collision was reported at about 5:50 a.m. on southbound Railroad Avenue near Marks Boulevard.
Officers arrived and found the pedestrian in the roadway with fatal injuries, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian is cooperating with the investigation.

Southbound Railroad Avenue was expected to be closed for several hours while police investigate the collision, police said shortly after 7:15 a.m.
