Concord Woman Fatally Struck By Vehicle On Kirker Pass Road
BREAKING: Concord police said the 33-year-old pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

CONCORD, CA — UPDATE: A 33-year-old Concord woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Thursday morning on Kirker Pass Road, just north of Clayton Road near Olive Drive, police said. The woman, whose name has not been released, was struck at about 5:44 a.m. by a 2010 Honda traveling southbound on Kirker Pass.
The collision was reported to Concord police, who responded to find the woman suffering from major injuries. She was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
The driver of the Honda, a 52-year-old Pittsburg woman, remained on scene and cooperated with authorities during the ensuing investigation, police said.

Traffic delays were reported as two lanes of Kirker Pass were closed for about four hours for the investigation — which police say revealed that the Concord woman was crossing Kirker Pass outside designated crosswalks when she was struck by the Honda.
The collision remains under investigation but police do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
