But first, today's weather:

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Concord who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Concord Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top stories in Concord today:
- Pleasant Hill Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning on Monument Blvd. Authorities believe it was a car to car shooting. At least one person was injured. The driver of the vehicle with the injured party was able to drive to the hospital. Witnesses reported hearing 7 or 8 gunshots and they described seeing the vehicle flee down I-680. (Claycord.com)
- The Homeless Action Coalition plans to discontinue services at Camp Hope in Martinez. Camp Hope is a homeless encampment that was set up by the Homeless Action Coalition at the start of the pandemic to ensure the unhoused had services they needed during the crisis. The City of Martinez has now stepped in to try to find shelter for these individuals. "The City anticipates posting a notice at the site announcing an impending clean-up date for later on in the month. Everyone living at the camp has been offered shelter or housing, which three individuals have accepted thus far." (Claycord.com)
- Whether you like to create art, appreciate art or just wander through the trees, East Bay Parks have something for you this week. Sunol Regional Wilderness is having a "Talk-N-Draw" where you can learn about the mighty oak and draw them at the same time. Or head over to Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont and enjoy folk art and make your own corn husk doll. (Pioneer Publishers)
- Original Joe's is coming to Walnut Creek! I grew up on Joe's Special. My mom liked that it had spinach. I liked that I could drown it in ketchup. They're going into the location where Stanford's Restaurant & Bar used to be. If all goes according to plan, they should be open some time in 2024. (News 24/680)
- The online application is open for the first round of the Small Business Reimbursement Grant that the City of Concord announced last month. It's a "$2 million grant program to help small businesses continue their recovery from the economic strain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic." Read the full press release. (cityofconcord.org)
