  1. One hundred Concord families had Thanksgiving dinners thanks to the generosity of the De La Salle Lacrosse teams and the St. Vincent de Paul branch at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Concord. "The De La Salle Lacrosse teams have provided this assistance to St. Vincent de Paul for 12 years, distributing over 1,650 turkeys, raising over $35,500 and contributing over 1,230 volunteer hours."   2. In a scary incident Wednesday night, an assailant allegedly threatened several employees with a knife at Concord Grocery Outlet on Willow Pass. The suspect is known to police. Thankfully, nobody was injured in the incident. (Claycord.com)
  3. What appeared to be a grab and run theft involving up to five suspects was thwarted at the Sunvalley Mall on Wednesday. The incident was reported just before 5:00 p.m. At least one person was detained and the stolen jackets were retrieved. (Claycord.com)
  4. Pleasant Hill Mayor Michael G. Harris reflects on a strong past 20 years for the city. From inception of Community Service Day to helping seniors find resources, he says he's had a very successful run in city government. (Pioneer Publishers)
  5. A November 20 shooting death appeared to be in self-defense, according to Dublin police. The incident happened at 7100 block of San Ramon Road and involved a woman, a male acquaintance of hers and her ex-husband. The men got into an argument that escalated, according to authorities. "Police said the man who opened fire did so in defense of his life." (News 24/680)
