Pricey Bikes Stolen From Contra Costa BART Station

A burglar got away with two bikes worth a total of $2,600.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA -- A burglar got away with two bikes worth a total of $2,600 Thursday at BART's El Cerrito Plaza station, police said. The owner locked the bikes at 4 p.m. in one Kryptonite U-lock and discovered the bikes missing at about 9:15 p.m.

Police said one bike was a black men's Specialized Globe road bike worth $600 and the other was a white men's Specialized Ruby road bike worth $2,000.
