Robbery Arrest Prompts Brief Lockdown at School
The arrest is in connection to Wells Fargo ATM armed robberies.

Concord police on Tuesday afternoon arrested a robbery suspect in an incident that prompted a brief lockdown at an elementary school, police said today.
At around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Concord police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at Westwood Elementary School at 1748 West St. Cpl. Christopher Blakely said officers found one of the people responsible for the disturbance was 26-year-old Julio Ramos, a Concord man suspected of involvement in two recent robberies in the city.
Ramos was arrested in connection with robberies that occurred on Aug. 27 at about 6:30 a.m. and on Sept. 3 at about 9 p.m., both times at Wells Fargo ATMs at 2190 Willow Pass Road near Todos Santos Plaza, according to police.

His child goes to school there, he said. The school itself decided to issue a lockdown, which lasted for only three minutes, Blakely said.
Ramos was compliant and was taken into custody without further incident, Blakely said. He was booked into Martinez Detention Facility.
On Sept. 17, police also arrested Raul Alvarado, 33, of Concord, in connection with the two Wells Fargo ATM robberies, Blakely said.
