5 Injured In Head-On Crash On Moraga Road
One man had to be extricated from a vehicle by firefighters. [Breaking]
LAMORINDA, CA — A man had to be extricated from a vehicle by firefighters this morning in Moraga after a traffic collision that left five people injured, according to fire officials.
Moraga-Orinda Fire Chief Stephen Healy said firefighters responded to the scene of a head-on crash at 8:47 a.m. on Moraga Road near Campolindo Drive and Campolindo High School.
Healy said a man was stuck in one of the vehicles and firefighters quickly worked to safely remove him.

Fire officials said the five victims were transported to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries, and are all expected to recover.
Moraga police are investigating the cause of the collision but a spokesman said it does not appear that drugs or alcohol played a role.
