Save the Date! Buena Vista's "A Toast to Tutoring," Friday, March 20
The wine toss requires a keen sense of hand-eye coordination, a symmetrically balanced ring and the wisdom as to when to "let it go!"

An auxiliary of Assistance League® of Diablo Valley, Buena Vista is a women’s philanthropic nonprofit organization dedicated to helping elementary school children in Contra Costa County learn to read through its Buena Vista Tutorial Program. These dedicated career women and stay-at-home moms raise funds to employ credentialed teachers to help students who are below grade level in reading. Its 16 one-hour after school tutoring sessions are spread over a six week period and provide a 2:1 student-teacher ratio.
At no cost to the 11 schools in the Mt. Diablo Unified and Walnut Creek School Districts or their families, 97% of the students show measurable improvement, gain confidence when celebrating their reading skills and receive gifts of books at their new reading level, as well as school supplies.
If you would like to be a part of this celebration, please join us for “A Toast to Tutoring,” Buena Vista’s largest fundraiser. This very well attended event, resplendent with a wine tasting, a wine toss, silent auction, dinner and live auction, will again take place at Round Hill Country Club on Friday, March 20, 2015, starting at 6 o’clock in the evening. A mere five minutes east of Highway 680, Round Hill Country Club is located at 3169 Round Hill Road, in Alamo.
