Woman Dies In Crash With Big Rig On Highway 4 In Concord
The fatal collision happened on eastbound SR-4 east of state Highway 4.
CONCORD, CA — A woman died in a collision with a big rig Friday morning on state Highway 4 in Concord, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 6:30 a.m. on SR-4, just east of Willow Pass Road. Emergency personnel and CHP officers responded to find that the driver of a maroon Honda Accord died from injuries suffered in the crash.
CHP investigators determined the woman was traveling on eastbound SR-4 near the Concord side of Willow Pass Road when she allowed her car to collide with the semi truck, causing the fatal injuries.

The driver of the big rig was not injured in the collision.
The fatal crash remained under investigation Friday morning but CHP did not immediately suspect alcohol or drugs were involved.
