CORONADO, CA — Coronado residents planning to visit City Hall or the Coronado Public Library should prepare for closures Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
Both City Hall and the library are scheduled to close for the holiday, according to the city's official holiday hours schedule.
San Diego County has also announced that county government offices, family resource centers, county-operated libraries, public health centers and animal shelters will close Wednesday.
The countywide closures will affect residents seeking in-person assistance with government programs, public health appointments and other county services.
Residents are encouraged to complete necessary government business before the holiday or plan visits after offices reopen.
County parks and campgrounds will remain open during their regular operating hours, although certain recreation and community center offices will be closed.
Law enforcement, emergency animal control response and other essential county services will continue operating throughout the holiday.
Normal county government operations are scheduled to resume Thursday, Nov. 12.
Veterans Day is observed annually Nov. 11 to honor those who have served in the U.S. armed forces.
