Bike the Bay Traffic Advisory for Coronado Residents
Here's what you need to know as the event rolls though town.

CORONADO, CA — There will be some traffic restrictions in place beginning at 7 a.m. Sunday when Bike the Bay brings thousands of bicyclists of all ages over the Coronado Bridge and through the city before the 25-mile route takes riders on to Imperial Beach, Chula Vista and National City before finishing back at the start/finish line at Embarcadero Marina Park in downtown San Diego.
Bike the Bay, a popular event that serves as a fundraiser for the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition, is the only opportunity to ride across the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge.
According to officials with the city of Coronado, the bridge will remain open during the event, with one lane of vehicle traffic in each direction using eastbound lanes. A small section of Glorietta Boulevard will be closed during the event, between Fourth and Fifth Streets. Riders will use Strand Way, which will be closed to vehicle traffic, to reach the Bayshore Bikeway to head south out of Coronado. State Route 75 will remain open in both directions. All restrictions will be removed at approximately 10 a.m.
