I am beyond disgusted that people think they are strong by slandering your business on the internet instead of approaching you face to face. This is "little man syndrome" at it's best.
We, here at El Cordova Garage, have dealt with this a few times, usually on Yelp, which thrives on posting anything, without checking the credibility of it's complaints.
The sickening issue is, a lot of web surfers feed into this slander when they are searching for reviews on businesses. A good motto to go by, "don't judge a book by it's cover". Customers are not always correct, and that is the truth. Customers can be extremely obstinate, rude, expecting services for free and downright impossible. I don't care what any business owner says, the ones telling the truth know this is true. Our wonderful customers overshadow these by far.

We had an unfortunate accident here at the garage a few weeks ago dealing with a car that had no brakes. That was completely on us. This car crashed into another and caused right front damage on the headlight, corner of the bumper and bumper cover. We immediately paid for a rental car for the customer and she seemed just fine with things and did not put off to us, in any way, that she was upset. With the body work and brake work, the bulk of the time being the body repair, she was in a rental car we paid for for two weeks. We covered the cost of the body work, of course.
The customer was responsible for the cost of the brake work as she had no brakes and that is what the car initially came in for. She was aware of that.

After picking up her car today, a review came up immediately here on Patch under our directory listing calling us a "Fraudulent Business" and threatening to "make it my mission to blast on every forum & review on the internet and I will picket in front of their shop to turn away customers from this SHADY, CORRUPT GARAGE".
We went out of our way to rectify the unfortunate accident. These things happen once in awhile. This girl did not ever act angry or upset about anything. But apparently she had been venting to her fiance who wrote this review.
We are far from being shady or fraudulent and I am saddened to have these accusations thrown at us by someone who couldn't even be a human and come in and voice his concerns in person, before going off on a vendetta against a mom and pop local business.
