Balboa Medical Center Shelter-In-Place Ends
The hours-long ordeal is finally over for staff and patients.

The Balboa Naval Medical Center in San Diego has received the all clear, some six hours after a shelter in place order was issued.
The order came after a phone call was received saying that a man with a gun had been spotted. What followed was a meticulous, room-by-room search of building one at the hospital. No gunman or weapons were found.
Balboa originally reported in a Facebook post that an armed man was seen on the premises but that was later revised.
No one new was allowed onto the hospital grounds, causing huge traffic tie-ups in the area.
San Diego Unified School District reports that no schools were locked down as a result of the situation.
If you missed an appointment because of the shelter-in-place order, you will be rescheduled, according to a Navy spokesman.
