Coronado SAFE Presents "Can We Talk?"

A five-Week Series for Parents with Pre-teens and Teens

Can We Talk? is a new course for parents embarking on or are in the journey of raising pre-teen and teen aged children, sponsored by Coronado Student And Family Enrichment.

The SAFE class is designed to improve communication and foster relationships amongst parents and children to sustain throughout the challenges of adolescence.

This class helps provide the education parents need to discuss important and often difficult issues with their children. In this class, parents will learn how to engage in positive, non-confrontational dialogue on issues like:

Class Facilitator:

Derri Ironfield is the coordinator for San Diego Parent University Program, an extensive parent education outreach and engagement department for all of San Diego Unified School District. There Derri oversees all programs and classes, writes curriculum, holds teacher trainings, and conducts parent workshops. Derri is a San Diego native and graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University. She is a parent and bilingual teacher for San Diego Unified School District, teaching at the elementary level for the last 8 years.
