Islanders Rout Crawford 48-6 to Move to 5-1
Denson throws three of his four TD passes to Rodriguez and Copp scores twice.

Coronado High improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Central League play with a one-sided 48-6 victory over host Crawford on Friday afternoon.
Austin Denson threw four touchdown passes, including three straight to wide receiver Paul Rodriguez. The Islanders sprinted to a 35-0 halftime lead, with Jack Perkins catching a 15-yard scoring strike from Denson for the game's first points. Mason Copp ran in the next two scores from 9 and 2 yards out before Rodriguez grabbed TD passes of 8, 16 and 4 yards to make it 41-0.
After Crawford scored its lone TD, Matt Halvorson ran back the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for the Islanders' final score.

Coronado will host a tough Kearny (4-2, 2-0) team Friday at 7 p.m. The Komets' only losses have come against unbeaten Santana and Madison.
