Power Outage Affecting Hundreds In Coronado

BREAKING: The outage started at 2:53 p.m. Friday.

CORONADO, CA – About 35,000 homes and business across San Diego County are without power Friday due to storm-related utility equipment problems, according to San Diego Gas & Electric.

Among the outages, SDG&E is reporting on its outage map that 1,775 customers in and around Coronado Beach are without power. The outage started at 2:53 p.m., affecting customers in Coronado, Coronado Cays, North Island and Tijuana River Park. SDG&E does not yet have an estimate of when the power will be restored.

The weather reportedly caused a problem in the electric system. No other information is currently available.
