PRIDE WORLD FORUM: A Glimpse at LGBT Diplomacy

As part of
the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), The
San Diego Diplomacy Council will host a delegation of LGBT equality work
leaders who are visiting the United States from 14 countries. Their professional
exchange program is focused on “Human Rights and Gender Identity.” During the
course of their trip the group will visit four cities, ending here in San
Diego.  Six members of the contingent
will participate in a panel discussion, where community members will have the
opportunity to ask our honored guests about their work as well as concerns
regarding human rights issues around the world. Please join the San Diego
Diplomacy Council, The Center San Diego and San Diego Pride for this forum on
July 1. The panel may include representatives from Mexico, Uganda, Israel,
Nigeria and other nations. Space is limited so please register at lgbtworldforum.eventbrite.com.
