
New directory lists trade professionals for energy projects
Business customers of SDG&E have a variety of options they can use to save energy and money, ranging from an online energy assessment tool to rebates and incentives. A new online directory was also recently launched to provide local businesses with an easily accessible database of trade professionals to help with energy efficiency projects.
Five paths to energy savings for business customers are featured on the SDG&E website, with tools and information that can benefit local business operations:

1. Energy use assessment: This online survey can help identify new ways to save energy and money. You can also request an in-person assessment at your facility.
2. No-cost equipment upgrades: Qualifying businesses may receive energy-efficient equipment upgrades, like lighting, temperature controls and occupancy sensors at no-cost, including installation.
3. Rebates and incentives: We may be able to help offset the cost of replacing or retrofitting equipment with qualified energy-efficient models.
4. Energy Innovation Center: Attend workshops and seminars on the latest energy-saving technologies and tour the center for added inspiration, including our fully equipped demonstration kitchen.
5. Customer success stories: Watch short videos on how local businesses are saving energy.
The online trade professionals directory was recently launched to help connect SDG&E’s business customers with resources for energy efficiency projects. These trade professionals can help compare the costs, payback periods, features and benefits of energy-efficient products and projects, answer questions about SDG&E rebates, incentives and financing programs, and assist with program applications.

Trade professionals who would like to be listed in the directory are invited to complete the 2013-2014 participation agreement. Trade professionals include electricians, heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) specialists, plumbers, architects, engineers and general contractors.
