Shark Spotted At Silver Strand In Coronado

CORONADO, CA – A shark advisory is in effect Thursday at Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado after a great white shark was spotted off the coast.

The 8-foot-long juvenile shark was spotted around 8:1 5 a.m. off the coast of the beach.

To ensure the safety of beachgoers, the California Department of Parks and Recreation issued a shark advisory. The advisory is in effect within a 1-mile radius for the next 24 hours from the time of the incident.
