7-Eleven Clerk Chases Beer Thief, Is Shot By Getaway Driver
The Culver City store clerk was treated for injuries at a local hospital.

CULVER CITY, CA – A 7-Eleven store clerk was shot in the leg Wednesday while running after a man who stole multiple cases of beer from the store, police said. The shooting occurred about 12:25 a.m. in the 5900 block of Washington Boulevard, the Culver City Police Department reported.
The clerk was treated at a hospital and released; their name was not announced. According to police, the clerk was trying to catch the suspect, who was running with the beer toward a getaway car, when an accomplice inside the vehicle shot him.
The suspect who stole the beer was described as an Hispanic man in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray pants. No description was released of the gunman. The suspects fled in a possible late-model white Honda Civic hatchback.
