CULVER CITY, CA — Families are invited to put on their costumes for two days of free Halloween fun in Culver City this weekend, from neighborhood games and crafts to downtown trick-or-treating.
Spooky Saturday is scheduled for Oct. 24 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. in the West Washington District, with activities along West Washington Boulevard between Centinela Avenue and Wade Street.
Music, games and crafts will be offered at 12524 Washington Blvd. from 2 to 4:30 p.m. During the same hours, Vintage Faith Foursquare Church will host music, crafts and "trunk-or-treat," where children collect candy from decorated vehicle trunks instead of going door to door.
At Culver Alexander Park, a silent disco will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and a family movie night will begin at 6 p.m.
The festivities will continue Sunday, Oct. 25, with Hip & Historic Halloween from 4 to 6 p.m. in downtown Culver City. Families can dress in costumes and collect treats while visiting downtown businesses.
The event will also feature singing "scarolers" near Caffe Luxxe, a DJ at Town Plaza and a pet costume contest.
City officials encouraged attendees to enjoy dinner or a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
Additional information about the Saturday event is available on the city's website, along with details about Sunday's festivities.
