Fixing & Flipping Houses. Everyone dreams of flipping houses, but very few ever really do it. Why is that? Rehabs are fun and challenging, and the profits can be enormous. Plus, compared to other investments, you receive your profits in months (not years). Not to mention those HGTV shows are just so additive. So why don’t more people do it? The answer is simple; people don’t know how to get started. They don’t know where to turn, what to do, or who to trust. Well, stay tuned, because we have the answer. Guest Speaker. The answer is Don Costa, our very special guest speaker at our October meeting. During his presentation, Don will cover four crucial topics: (1) How to find houses to flip, (2) How to finance your purchase, (3) How to rehab your property, and (4) How to flip your house quickly for fun and profit. Specifically, Don will be discussing:

* Finding the perfect flip
* Funding your rehabs the right way
* Systems to manage your team & timeline
* Tips to cash flow as you grow
* Maximizing your exit (getting the most profit out of each flip)
If you’re already fixing and flipping houses, or just getting started, you’re going to love Don’s presentation! Don is going to explain why “fixing & flipping” is the most lucrative (and most fun) strategy in real estate investing. Plus, he has plenty of real estate experiences and examples to share with you. Most importantly, he has actually done it with hundreds of rehabs throughout California. Don is going to show you how to get started and be successful.
Date & Time: Thursday night, October 8, 2026, 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
Location: Iman Cultural Center, 3376 Motor Avenue, LA 90034 (between National and Palms).

The second structure is at the northeast corner of Motor and National. From either lot it’s a short two blocks walk to the Iman. Valet parking is also available. Free Admission: Admission to our meetings is always FREE (complimentary), but reservations are recommended.

West Hollywood Park

On Sunday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m., thousands of Angelenos will fill West Hollywood Park for the 42nd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles, a fundraising event celebrating life, honoring those who have been lost, and taking action against HIV. Presented by APLA Health, this year's theme, "Defend Care, Demand Action," is a message aimed squarely at closing the gap between what medicine can now do and who can actually get it. Registration is now open at aidswalkla.org.The opening ceremony will feature live music, remarks from notable activists, and booths from community partners, before participants set off for the two-mile walk through the Rainbow District. For many who return year after year, AIDS Walk is equal parts celebration and demonstration: a chance to honor how far the response to the epidemic has come and to bring much-needed attention to how much further it has to go. Last year's AIDS Walk raised $1.05 million toward the work that still needs to be done.

L.A. GOAL

L.A. GOAL & Inside Out Productions invite you to our upcoming Annual Fall Exhibition art show, Mind & Sentiment, on Saturday, October 24th between 11AM and 4PM.
Mind & Sentiment is the expression of both emotion and empowerment. Our Artists are building a series of interconnected works on topics that interest them, and expressing it through color and techniques. Many of our Artists are choosing to work in vibrant colors that reflect themselves. When working on this art exhibition, the main question asked to the Artist was “How do they build a series of work connected together?”This exhibition is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Department of Arts and Culture.
