Veterans Memorial Building

Square dancing is a wonderful opportunity to move aerobically to music, while having a lot of fun and making new friends. A new square dance class with a live caller/instructor will meet on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Veterans Memorial Building in Culver City, and will run through the end of August.
Square dancing doesn’t require any special musical or athletic talent. If you can walk and shake hands, you can square dance. Dress casually and wear comfortable shoes. Singles and couples are welcome. We have experienced partners for you if you don’t have one. 
The class will meet every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7;45 pm at the Veterans Memorial Building (SW corner of Culver Blvd. and Overland Ave.) in the Multipurpose Room, which is at the southern end of the building. (Parking is available at the BioScience Center across the street on Overland [4130 Overland) if the Memorial Building parking lots are full.)The first class is free; thereafter classes are $10 per person. The class is open to new students on May 6 and 13. After that the class will be closed to new students until the next session begins in September.

Admission, Location, and Parking:
Admission is free for this event. Free parking for this event will be available in the Ivy Station garage (entrances at 8900 Venice Blvd. or 8840 National Blvd. Culver City, CA 90232). Follow signs to levels P1 or P2 for visitor parking. Take the elevator or stairs up into the park plaza. Ivy Station is also conveniently located at the Culver City stop of the Metro E line and has ample bike parking on site.

Ivy Station Salsa Nights are back and are heating up the third Friday of every month! Join us on the plaza at Ivy Station in Culver City for an evening of live Latin music and dancing.
The fun kicks off on Friday, May 15th from 6:30-7pm with a free beginner-friendly salsa lesson on the Ivy Station plaza led by dance instructor Pepe Gonzalez before hitting the dance floor to live music from Fermin Fusion Salsa from 7-8:45pm. This event is outdoors, free, and open to the public! No partner is needed to attend.
Salsa Nights continue on the third Friday of each month through October.
Visitor parking is available on levels P1 and P2 of Ivy Station's garage (entrances at 8900 Venice Blvd. and 8840 National Blvd. in Culver City) with complimentary 2-hour parking validations available at the event. Ivy Station is conveniently located at the Culver City stop on the Metro E line and has ample bike parking.
