A Night of Unscripted Comedy, Audience Suggestions & Unexpected Laughs

Please join us Saturday, September 26, at 3:00 p.m., for another free matinee concert presented by Chamber Music Palisades (CMP), featuring music by Bizet, Ibert, Fernandez, Joplin, and others. The concert will also present a piece by local composer Adrienne Albert.
Talented performers for this lovely afternoon of music are CMP co-founder/artistic director Susan Greenberg, (flute), Zack Borowiec (Oboe), Arthur Naito (Clarinet), and Christin Phelps Webb (Bassoon). Check out our website at cmpalisades.org for more details of the program.
This free performance will be held at Brentwood Presbyterian Church, 12000 San Vicente Boulevard, Los Angeles 90049. Reservations are not needed. The concert is sponsored in part by the Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles. Free parking is available in the church lot just north of Montana Avenue on the east side of Bundy.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch returns to Los Angeles for another season of fall fun, welcoming families to its Culver City location beginning October 2. A beloved family tradition, Mr. Bones features thousands of pumpkins sourced from the family’s farm in Oregon, along with pumpkin carving and decorating, straw mazes, face painting, slides, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and more.
Throughout the season, families can explore Pumpkin Village, capture seasonal photo moments, enjoy live entertainment, food and treats, and take part in special programming and guest animal appearances. The patch will also offer extended evening hours on select Fridays and Saturdays.
Special celebrations include Mr. Bones’ third annual Día de los Muertos celebration on October 25, followed by the Halloween Party on October 31.

Bring your pup along for a special Yappy Hour at The Culver Hotel in partnership with pet-care brand, Cleo&amp;Hooman, on Thursday, October 8, from 4–6 p.m. Enjoy cocktails and bites on the hotel’s dog-friendly patio while your four-legged friends dig into the hotel’s signature “barkuterie” boards, with a special addition for the occasion: fresh dog food from Furever.
The afternoon will also feature adorable adoptable dogs from The Labelle Foundation, giving guests the chance to meet pups looking for their forever homes. A portion of event sales will benefit the Los Angeles-based rescue and its work supporting pets in need throughout the city.

On Sunday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m., thousands of Angelenos will fill West Hollywood Park for the 42nd annual <a href="https://aidswalk.la" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">AIDS Walk Los Angeles</a>, a fundraising event celebrating life, honoring those who have been lost, and taking action against HIV. Presented by <a href="https://aplahealth.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">APLA Health</a>, this year's theme, "Defend Care, Demand Action," is a message aimed squarely at closing the gap between what medicine can now do and who can actually get it. Registration is now open at <a href="https://aidswalkla.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">aidswalkla.org</a>.The opening ceremony will feature live music, remarks from notable activists, and booths from community partners, before participants set off for the two-mile walk through the Rainbow District. For many who return year after year, AIDS Walk is equal parts celebration and demonstration: a chance to honor how far the response to the epidemic has come and to bring much-needed attention to how much further it has to go. Last year's AIDS Walk raised $1.05 million toward the work that still needs to be done.
