West Hollywood Park

On Sunday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m., thousands of Angelenos will fill West Hollywood Park for the 42nd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles, a fundraising event celebrating life, honoring those who have been lost, and taking action against HIV. Presented by APLA Health, this year's theme, "Defend Care, Demand Action," is a message aimed squarely at closing the gap between what medicine can now do and who can actually get it. Registration is now open at aidswalkla.org.The opening ceremony will feature live music, remarks from notable activists, and booths from community partners, before participants set off for the two-mile walk through the Rainbow District. For many who return year after year, AIDS Walk is equal parts celebration and demonstration: a chance to honor how far the response to the epidemic has come and to bring much-needed attention to how much further it has to go. Last year's AIDS Walk raised $1.05 million toward the work that still needs to be done.

L.A. GOAL

L.A. GOAL & Inside Out Productions invite you to our upcoming Annual Fall Exhibition art show, Mind & Sentiment, on Saturday, October 24th between 11AM and 4PM.
Mind & Sentiment is the expression of both emotion and empowerment. Our Artists are building a series of interconnected works on topics that interest them, and expressing it through color and techniques. Many of our Artists are choosing to work in vibrant colors that reflect themselves. When working on this art exhibition, the main question asked to the Artist was “How do they build a series of work connected together?”

Inside Out Productions and L.A. GOAL present artwork from more than 30 different artists including our employed artist program and our emerging art classes. Presenting multiple mediums & techniques through the eyes of our Artists, this exhibition displays the talents of both artists and our program. Alongside the artwork, there will be products designed and made by our Artists.

This exhibition is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Department of Arts and Culture.
