Culver City Announces New CFO
Onxy Jones most recently worked as Finance Director and City Treasurer for the City of Pomona.

From The City of Culver City: The City of Culver City has announced the appointment of Onyx Jones as its Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Jones assumed the CFO position on February 4, 2019.
Ms. Jones most recently served for three years as Finance Director and City Treasurer for the City of Pomona. Prior to that, she served for three years as Interim Finance Director for the City of Adelanto, and for seven years as Deputy Finance Director for the City of Rialto.
Ms. Jones has extensive experience in financial analysis and budgeting. In addition to assisting two cities in creating utility user tax revenue measures, she has written budget manuals, implemented major capital improvement projects, and led creative team building workshops. She is also a motivational speaker and an award-winning author. Ms. Jones holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy from Wichita State University.
Ms. Jones was selected for this position after an extensive and competitive search. “I’m delighted to introduce Onyx to Culver City. She brings a track record of prudent financial oversight and she will ensure Culver City continues to strive for fiscal excellence,” said City Manager John Nachbar.
