Culver City Begins Car-Free Weekends On Main Street
Starting Friday, parking will not be allowed on a certain section of Main Street in Culver City.

CULVER CITY, CA — Starting this week, Culver City will keep Main Street car-free on weekends, officials announced Thursday.
Beginning Friday, parking will not be allowed on Main Street between Culver Boulevard and the city limit. Water-filled barricades will be situated at both ends of the street each Friday at 6 p.m. until the following Monday at 6 a.m.
Businesses on the street and downtown parking structures will remain open.

"Consider walking, biking, scooting or taking a Culver CityBus to Main Street," officials wrote in a statement.
The City Council approved the plan on March 28.
